This event began several years ago to say thank you to local law enforcement personnel and their families with a fun, free evening at the Greenville Zoo.  This year’s guest list has expanded to include all first responders (Police, Fire, EMS) from Greenville County.  The churches of the Greenville Baptist Association sponsor this annual event as a way of showing appreciation for those who serve and protect our communities.

Several activity stations will be hosted inside the zoo by GBA churches, which will include a scavenger hunt, games, photo booth, and music.  Chick-fil-A sandwiches, chips, and water bottles will be available free of charge.  The zoo’s concession stand and store will be open for purchases as well.  Door prizes, such as Amazon gift cards, Peace Center gift cards, Greenville Triumph Soccer Club swag bag, Greenville Zoo family pack, Beats wireless headphones, and Nintendo Switch game consoles, will be given out at the end of the event.

This is event is ON – rain or shine.  However, the Greenville Zoo must cancel this event if lightning strikes within a 2-mile radius of the zoo in compliance with their safety policy.  We will post on our Facebook page if the event is canceled due to lightning and will attempt to reschedule at a later date.  We will be making a “game time” decision while praying for good weather.
