The Director of Missions Search Committee is excited to announce our prospective candidate for GBA’s next leader. Rev. Will Cofield currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Central Baptist Church in York, SC. He is also the Church Growth & Revitalization Strategist for the York Baptist Association. His leadership and skill sets are well-suited to lead GBA into the future.

An official notification letter from GBA 2026 Moderator, Mike Runion, was mailed to your church address on December 15, 2025. This announcement serves as another form of notification to fulfill our bylaws as directed below.
The GBA Bylaws dictate that a Director of Missions must be voted on at either an Annual Meeting or a Special-Called Meeting. Therefore, a Special-Called Meeting of the Greenville Baptist Association is scheduled for Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at City View First Baptist Church. The only item of business will be the presentation of and the vote for a prospective Director of Missions. This meeting will take the place of our regularly scheduled January Executive Committee Meeting. Please plan to stay for a catered lunch following this Special-Called Meeting.
