What is the Annual Church Profile?
Every year, the Southern Baptist Convention goes through a data collection process of all its churches. Your ACP is a report of vital information specifically about your church for a 12-month period. Think of it like an annual medical health check-up for your church.
How does my church complete its ACP?
An email has been sent to the ACP contact we have on file for your church. If you have not received an email containing login/password information, please contact Anna Richardson ([email protected]) immediately to get instructions for filling out these surveys.
Why is this important?
Combined over several years, these surveys give a historical snapshot of your church. Pastoral candidates request this type of information when they are considering new church positions. The GBA uses this information when analyzing revitalization and church planting efforts. The SCBC uses this information when allocating resources. Without current data from your church, our information is incomplete and inaccurate.
Information about the 2025 ACP Survey:
- Churches are asked to report for a 12-month period. Each church decides specific dates; however, most post data that corresponds to their church year.
- The questions about Cooperative Program Giving and the annual special offerings for Annie Armstrong, Lottie Moon, and Janie Chapman have been eliminated. These amounts are based on designated contributions received in the SCBaptist Accounting Office. If you’d like to track your church’s giving, you can do so here.
- Undesignated Receipts are the total amount of contributions given to the church, in which the congregation decides how the money will be spent (through its budget or other means). This includes regular budget offerings and loose monies from the offering.
- Total Receipts are the total amount of all money received by the congregation. This amount should be the total of undesignated gifts, designated gifts, and other receipts (may include income from rentals, day school or kindergarten fees, savings, pastoral aid, parking fees, etc. Total Receipts should be larger than the Undesignated Receipts.
