A Missional Story...
An IMT Testimony:
The training really showed me how far short I fall. We are called to be missionaries and we are commissioned to be missionaries. Matthew 28:19-20 Sounds like a command to me. Not an “if you feel like it, go.” Acts 1:8 John 14:21 I’m just not hitting the mark. When I was a kid in the late 50s and 60s just about everybody you would come in contact with knew about the Bible. Today people are not getting the truth. Their knowledge is what they hear on tv or read in the newspaper. They don’t know the gospel. When I was younger, everybody had at least heard about the gospel whether it affected them or not. In the upstate along the I85 corridor there’s about 900,000 lost people, almost a million lost people. We have a field white unto harvest. When it’s harvest time you don’t sit in the barn and wait, you have to go out into the field. IMT teaches us to think differently about our mission field which is where we live, where we go on a daily basis. Find ways to minister to the lost so we can share the gospel with them. We have to take a different approach today than in the past. The training helps us to look at different ways to get the gospel to the lost. If you want to reach people that have never been reached, you have to do something that has never been done. We need to be trying to find ways we can reach people. Matt 6:33- Seek first His Kingdom….If we are out here trying to do His business and His work, He will take care of our needs. We need to be sharing the gospel to people that need it so bad.
